Welcome to the Rehearso Privacy Policy ("Policy"). The Policy is essential because they contain information about your privacy and security when using Rehearso. We want to be transparent because we do not wish to exploit or abuse your rights as a user of our service, we treat you how we want to be treated. We appreciate your time to read this Policy and our Terms of Service carefully to understand the rules to follow to enjoy our service that helps you shine. We do our best to embrace you and hope you would do the same too.

Rehearso provides software as a service powered by artificial intelligence, specifically machine learning and deep learning that aims to benefit its user to learn, improve, and practice for communication of different purposes, as well as other products or services that may be developed from time to time. It is developed and owned by Rehearso Technologies Sdn. Bhd. ("Rehearso", "we", "us", "our"). By visiting, using, and remaining on the website, and signing up for the software promoted by www.rehearso.com ("Site"), including all associated features, functionalities, user interfaces, written content and software applications associated with our services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by our Policy along with all applicable laws and regulations. Generally, this includes all visitors to the Site and users of the Rehearso software, accessible via app.rehearso.com. In any case you do not agree with any of the policies laid out from here and below, you should not use the Service or access any content.

Our Commitments

This Policy sets out the essential details relating to your personal data relationship with Rehearso. The Policy applies to all Service. We may develop new or offer additional services. If the introduction of these new or additional services result in any material change to the way we collect or process your personal data we will provide you with more information or additional terms or policies. Unless stated otherwise when we introduce these new or additional services, they will be subject to this Policy. In order to protect and safeguard your personal data, we commit to:

  • Try our best to use clear and easy-to-understand language to explain the Policy;
  • Educate all Rehearso employees that handle customer data to ensure they are well-versed on privacy requirements;
  • Try our best to protect the users' personal data, by implementing appropriate technical and organisational measures;
  • Allow easy access for the users to view, edit, or delete personal data and information;
  • Keep the users informed if there is any changes to our Policy; and
  • Comply diligently with our own Policy.

User's Rights

In order to promote transparency, the following are the users' rights as available and except as limited under applicable law (collectively, "User Rights"):

  • Right to Access

    The user may make a data access request by email to Rehearso for information of your personal data that is being processed by us and to provide an electronic copy of the personal data at no later than twenty-one days from the date of receipt of your data access request.

  • Right to Correct

    The user may make a data correction request by email to Rehearso to make the necessary correction to the personal data, or you may edit it in your account settings accordingly. It is your duty to make sure your information is up-to-date at all time to prevent any unforeseen circumstances.

  • Right to Remove

    The user may make a data removal request by email to Rehearso to remove your personal data.

  • Right to Withdraw Your Consent

    The user may make a request by email to Rehearso to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data, where we may cease the processing of personal data by terminating your user account and removing all the User Content you have provided.

  • Right to Object

    The user may make a request by email to Rehearso to object us from processing your personal data that may result in damage or distress, or object us from using your personal data for our purpose of direct marketing.

What We Collect

User Data

This personal data is provided by you or collected by us when you sign up for the Service. This may include your username, email address, phone number, birth date, gender, country, and your occupation. This information is required for us to create an account for you, and you may provide us with additional personal data in order to make your account, specifically your performance report more personalized.

The exact personal data we will collect depends on how you create an account, and whether you use third party services, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Google to sign up and use the Service. If you use a third party service to create an account, we will receive personal data via that third party service but only if you have consented to that third party service to share your personal data with us, then we will import your information from the third party.

Usage Data

This personal data is collected when you are accessing and/or using the Service, including:

  • Information about your type of Service plan.
  • Information about your interactions with the Service, also known as log data.
  • Clickstream data and inferences drawn about your interests and preferences based on your usage of the Service. For example, which section of the Site or the Service you click on and recordings you create.
  • User Content you post, including script, audio file, video file, comments, preference selection, and interaction with our team. Please note that we will only access your camera, webcam, or photos from your device if you give us permission to do so by selecting the record button during your practice while using our Service and the access permission will cease as you finish recording, and new permission will be given by you again by selecting the record button.
  • Certain technical data, which may include URL information, cookie data, IP addresses, types of devices you are using, unique device IDs, network connection type, provider, network and device performance, browser type, language, information enabling digital rights management, operating system, device attributes of devices on your wifi network that are available to connect to the Service, and your non-precise location.

Payment and Purchase Data

Rehearso may collect certain personal data if you sign up for a Trial, or a purchase of any of our Paid Subscriptions or make other purchases through the Service. The personal data collected will vary depending on the payment method, but will generally include information including:

  • Name;
  • Date of birth;
  • Card type (Credit or debit), expiration date, last 4 digits of card number, and CVV digits of your card;
  • Postal code;
  • Mobile phone number; and
  • Details of your purchase and the payment history.

The payment data received from our payment partners will only be used for us to send you invoices, process your payment, and provide you with what you have purchased.

Contests, Surveys, and Sweepstakes Data

When you complete any form, respond to a questionnaire, participate in a contest, or respond to a survey, which may be carried out via e-mail or telephone, we collect the personal data you provide.

How We May Use Your Personal Data

Public Information

How Long We Keep Yout Personal Data

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary to provide you with the Service and for legitimate and essential business purposes, including to maintain the performance of the Service, to make data-driven business decisions about new features and offerings, to comply with our legal obligations, and to resolve disputes.

As stated here, you may make a data removal request by email us to delete or anonymize your personal data so that it no longer identifies you, unless we are legally allowed or required to maintain certain personal data, including situations such as the following:

  • If there is an unresolved issue relating to your account, such as unresolved claim or dispute we will retain the necessary personal data until the issue is resolved;
  • Where we need to retain the personal data for our legal, tax, audit, and accounting obligations, we will retain the necessary personal data for the period required by applicable law; and/or
  • Where necessary for our legitimate business interests such as fraud prevention or to maintain the security of our users.

When we no longer need to use your information and there is no need for us to keep it to comply with the applicable law, we will remove it from the systems or depersonalize it so that you will not be identified.

Communication

We will access your personal data to contact and communicate with you for matters important for you to use the Service, which you may not be able to opt out as they are considered as critical communication:

  • Account changes (reset password or remove account);
  • Billing reminders;
  • Invoices;
  • Answer your queries;
  • Security updates;
  • Service and Site related issues; and
  • Legal and policy updates.

We may notify you the product updates, newsletter, tips, new feature launches, changes to existing features or functionality that are related to the Service which may come in the form of e-mail, or notice and announcement within our Service.

Transfers

In the event of a sale, merger and acquisition, or a transfer of business ownership, your personal data will be shared with the relevant entity collected and kept by Rehearso, which will have the rights to access your personal data, governed by and according to this Policy.

Rehearso may share your personal data globally with other entities that may be providing service to the activities as specified in this Policy for the operation of the Site and the Service or entities that may be a part of Rehearo that are located in countries other than your country. Your personal data, therefore, may be subject to privacy laws that are different from those in your country. In the event of transfer of your personal data is required to be carried out, Rehearso shall ensure  that the transfer is carried out in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

If you click on any third-party website that we, or any user linked and shared in the Site or the Service, you understand that you are leaving the Service and any personal data you provide will not be covered by this Policy as we cannot control, nor be held responsible for third parties' privacy practices and content.

Children Protection

In our effort to protect the children and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), children aged 13 and below are not allowed to use Rehearso. If you are based in the European Economic Area, you may only use and access the Rehearso Service if you are aged 16 and above. For most countries, you may only use and access the Rehearso Service if you are aged 18 and above. If you are a parent of a child under the age limit who you believe is under the allowed age in your country who may be using our Service, please contact us immediately to remove the relevant data in our systems completely, including the deletion of the entire user account for that child.

Protect Your Personal Data

We are committed to protecting your personal data by implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the security of the data. However, please note that no system is completely secure. We always do our best to implement different methods including pseudonymisation, encryption, access, and retention policies to guard against unauthorized access and unnecessary retention of personal data in our systems. Please note that you are strongly encouraged to use a strong password that is unique to the Rehearso account and the password is never shared with anyone, limit access to your computer and browser, and log out each time after using the Service.

Future Changes

We are improving continuously and may occasionally make changes to this Policy. When we make material changes to this Policy, we will provide you with prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances, including e-mail or announcement and notice within the Service. You will be notified in advance and please make sure you read any such information carefully.
